Omar Uddin founded Detroit-based Uddin Development Consulting (UDC) in 2022 in response to a burgeoning need for technical assistance providers.
He began his career working for an affordable housing non-profit based in Ann Arbor, MI as a feasibility analyst and executive assistant, filling a critical role for the nascent non-profit. He then underwrote acquisition deals for a publicly-traded, multi-billion dollar real estate investment trust (REIT).
Since then, Omar has dedicated his time to helping his developer, CDFI, and non-profit clients with various technical assistance services in his work at UDC. Outside of UDC, Omar serves on the board of Equitable Ann Arbor (EA2) Land Trust.
Omar is a graduate of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a lifelong resident of Michigan. His core values include integrity, conscientiousness, and effective communication. Some of his hobbies are competitive running, hiking in northern Michigan, and watching football.
